Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE): what is it and Why you should look at it
I have always been passionate about finance and personal finance management.
I have 1 big Excel file for managing all my expenses, income, and investment. Today, I want to tell you something about a movement I joined a few years ago. Every financial and personal decision is correlated to this movement.
First of all, all the things here are not financial/investment advice. I only want to share what I do every day, and what I believe.
What is the FIRE Movement?
FIRE stands for Financial Indipendence, Retire Early. If we’d like to describe it in 1 single sentence, it would be:
Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) is a movement of people devoted to a program of extreme savings and investment that aims to allow them to retire far earlier than traditional budgets and retirement plans would permit
One of the key values at the basis of this movement is the Frugality. I wrote about this value here a few weeks ago, and it’s all about doing more with less.
You could identify yourself into this movement, and “join” it when you want. There are a very little number of rules, but so important.
