How to minimize costs for your SaaS

One of my favorite values to build your own SaaS company is Frugality.

I steal this value for my micro-saas journey from Amazon Values. This is frugality:

Accomplish more with less. Constraints breed resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and invention. There are no extra points for growing headcount, budget size, or fixed expenses.

There are no extra points for growing headcount, budget size, or fixed expenses.

This sentence is so amazing and helpful to better understand how you need to manage your company.

I love this value because it’s also correlated to the bootstrapping movement.

But how to minimize your costs, and launch a SaaS with almost 0$?

Let’s start from the website

I’m a fan of quick MVPs in a quick MVS.

When building an MVP, consider the smallest possible slice of value we can deliver to the smallest group of customers (MVS). Without this focus, we will end up in a product spin. We will build risky Minimum Viable Products for groups of people that are not well defined.

With a focus on the segment, we can build credible Minimum Viable Value Propositions. They should be aligned with satisfying customers’ important, under-served desired outcomes.

Starting from this, you can use different website builders with a very affordable basic plan.
