A few weeks ago I read this article:

https://www.businessinsider.com/chatgpt-ai-technology-americans-loneliness-crisis-mental-health-friendship-recession-2023-5?r=US&IR=T

… And new thoughts came into my mind. I started to study a new market, so the Girls/Boys generated by AI are changing the ways new generations approach social relationships. There are risks and opportunities in this new market that I will discuss today.

First of all, the trend

First of all, I will show you an interesting graph from Google Trends:

These trends are based on US data.

There is a high interest in terms like these. And it’s still growing day by day.

Of course, these trends are supported by the AI hype at the end of 2022, and still in 2023. But I think this is not a temporary trend. It’s a structural trend that will change forever new gens.

Warning points

Point 1: Time shared with friends has dropped dramatically

The new generations (aged between 15 and 24) spend less and less time with their friends. Sharing moments has decreased to around 40 minutes per day -> from 2.5h/day. All this in the last two decades.
