Today I’m going to speak about my last micro-exit: RecapioGPT. We sold RecapioGPT last week after 3 months of negotiations, offers, rejections, and so on.

In this article, I’d like to show you our journey. Our tips and strategies for building a good product, with an efficient customer-centric strategy. But how did it start?

The first MVP

RecapioGPT is an AI tool for summarizing everything: articles, URLs, Files, YouTube videos, and more. But everything started with this post on Kernal Idea:

So the first idea was very simple: summarize articles using the URL. Then the first MVP of RecapioGPT should be based on a simple unique feature. The user could copy and paste an URL in our tool, and get the summary.

Pretty simple idea. And I thought there was a huge market. At the same time, another guy named Marc-Etienne shared the same idea on Kernal.

We decided to join the resources and work together on RecapioGPT. It was Sept 22.

The first name of RecapioGPT was AI Alfred, and the first basic MVP was made on Bubble. But before that, we validated the problem using the landing page builder yep.so.
